Internet for scholarship information for students

YOGYAKARTA – Lately information in Universities about scholarship in studying abroad is still limited.

Head of International Relationship study program in University of Muhammaddiyah Yogyajakarta.  Mr. Sugeng Riyanto, SIP, M.Si., stated that, most students of UMY continues their education abroad by using internet to find information about types of scholarship available for them. Actually those information must be taken as early as possible so the student ca prepare themselves better.
  
“We want that information to our students. It is the objective of Taiwanese school visit and promotion.”, explained  Sugeng after accepting visit and education promotion from  Southern Taiwan University (STUT) in UMY, recently.

STUT is a Engineering and Vocational University with the best rank of accreditation held by Department of Education of  Taiwan in 2009.  STUT visit to UMY was held in between Taiwan Education Fairs in Yogyakarta which presented  20 Universities of Taiwan. Sugeng expected that this visit can open up student perspective about the opportunities to get higher education abroad.

Coordinator of  Student Affairs Division, Office of International Affairs STUT, Betsy Wen explained, this first visit is to introduce higher education programs in STUT to students of  UMY, some of them are Mechanical Engineering and International Master of Bussiness Administration.

Sugeng expected that this relationship can continue even to more mutualism relationship between universities.
