Health of Polytechnic MoH Malang - SEAMEO RCCN UI Signed MOU

At the beginning of 2011 has established cooperation between the polytechnic Kemenkes Malang with SEAMEO RECFON for a period of three years. Such cooperation was marked by the signing of the MoU dated February 1, 2011 by B. Doddy Riyadi, SKM, MM as the Director of Health Polytechnic and Dr Kemenkes Malang. Ratna Sitompul, MD., SPM (K) as the Deputy Director for Programs of SEAMEO TROPMED RCCN-UI. The areas of cooperation agreed upon include the activities of Tri Dharma College, which is related to education and teaching, research and community service.
 
With the signing of the MoU is expected cooperation has been established to further improved quality. Forms of activities that have been made between the polytechnic Kemenkes Malang with SEAMEO RCCN UI in recent years in the form of research activity entitled "Nutrition Security and Food Security in Seven districts in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia: Status, Causes and Recommendations for Response" in 2009. In addition, since 2003 the two institutions have been actively conduct cooperation in the training of Food Safety and HACCP for Nutritionists. Short Course uses the curriculum of Food Safety of WHO-ICD. The activity was conducted in Malang and in other cities such as Ternate and Kupang. Polytechnic students Kemenkes Ambon and Gorontalo who do field work practice in Malang also has received the training.
 
Other forms of activities undertaken is the provision of scholarships for polytechnic lecturers Kemenkes Malang to take a course at SEAMEO Regional RECFON. Some of them are Nutrition Anthropology, South East Asian Nutrition Leadership Program (SEA NLP), Food Safety and Training of the Trainer for Food Safety HACCP. (Sugeng Blue / John).(n)
