In the event, which was hosted by Heru Nugroho, SKM, M. Kes,  Dr. Dodo said that in East Java, there is still a malnutrition problem and need to be addressed seriously to prove that nutrition experts have an important role on it.

To obtain an optimal state of health a balanced nutrition is required, not a balanced diet. The concept of balanced nutrition includes a varied diet, physical activity and regular exercise, to apply clean and healthy lifestyle, and maintain their ideal weight. The concept is then outlined in the guidelines "balanced nutrition". Nutritional problems such as obesity, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, heart disease has been endemic and not the dominance of fine-income communities. "The problem of malnutrition can by itself disapper along with increases of economic of society. So the problem of malnutrition not only be solved by ESLS (basic four) only. The need for all nutrients must be met in an optimal body", added Prof Soekirman who is also the chairman of the Indonesian Fortification Coalition.

To provide nutrients in sufficient number, variety, and quality fortification approach has long been widely implemented. But its success requires consideration of local factors in which fortification program is implemented, said Yohanes Kristianto, MFT. "Although the methods of fortification have now been using modern technology such as encapsulation, nano technology, genetic engineering including biofortification, but the nuanced approach is needed, for example by using small scale fortification (SSF) and in-home fortification, especially for marginal areas. In areas where the premix vitamins and minerals can not be obtained as fortifican, one can use approach to developing a recipe / food formulas using substitution techniques ", according to Yohanes.
