Declaration of GERMAS (People Healthy Lifestyle Movement) in cooperation with Kampus IV of Kediri

Kediri (7/25) Malang State Health Polytechnic (Polkesma) - Campus of Kediri incooperated with Mayor Of Kediri, Mr. Abdullah Abu Bakar opened the socialization and declaration of People Healthy Lifestyles Movement (GERMAS), accompanied by Head of Facilitation of Accreditation and Quality Control of Education of Health Ministry Mr. Akemat, S.Kp, M.Kes, Vice Director I of Polkesma Ir. AAG. Anom Aswin, MPS, Member of parlianment of Kediri, Mr. Reza Darmawan, Head of Kediri City Health Office dr. Fauzan Adima and District Leadership Assembly (Muspika) Distric of Pesantren. This event took place in Balai Kelurahan Bawang, on Tuesday (25/7/17). This activity was attended by approximately 300 participants, ranging from the community, the officers of community health service, subdistric head, community leaders and religious leaders.

Mr. Abdullah Abu Bakar welcomes this activity and the principle of GERMAS is our joint responsibility in the field of health. "This is social responsibility. It is no longer the government's responsibility but also society. I am happy that the community can be given education about healthy life movement like this from Polkesma, "he said.

According to the mayor who is familiarly called Mas Abu, what needs to be changed from the community is the pattern of life where today many people who have an unhealthy lifestyle.

“Nowadays, we can see many people who choose to use motor vehicles to travel the distance instead of by foot or cycling. Well this is what we need to change. Healthy lifestyle that starts from sports, "he said

He explained that currently many deaths caused by non-communicable diseases rather than infectious diseases.

"This non-contagious disease arises from an unhealthy lifestyle. Hopefully by educated through GERMAS this community can improve their lifestyle to be healthier, "he hoped.

GERMAS itself is a form of community service from Malang State Health Polytechnic - Campus IV in Kediri.

The launching of GERMAS is marked by the signing and release of pigeons.
