State Health Polytechnic of Malang and Probolinggo Regency Signed Partnership Agreement

Polkesma and Probolinggo Administration signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education, research and community service partnership. The signing was done by Probolinggo Regent, R. Tjahjo Widodo, SH, M.Hum and Head of Midwifery Department, Herawati Mansur, S.ST, S.Psi, M.KPd, M.Psi, held at Regent’s office of Peringgitan. The event was witnessed by head of administration, finance, and employee affair, and secretary of Polkesma, together with Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) officials.

The cooperation is expected to be legal commitment between both parties;  municipal administration and higher education, such as Polkesma to allow internship program run in the regency’s health institutions. It is hoped that the program will be available for medical students to intern in community and public health service in Probolinggo. Furthermore, in near future, both parties were agreed to extend cooperation in wider area involving hospitals and health officials in the region.

Herawati Mansur, S.ST, S.Psi, M.KPd, M.Psi, stated that the partnership agreement was expected to support the development program of both parties as well as three pillars of higher education in the field of health; to elevate knowledge and competence in providing quality health amenities, research and community services in medic.

Meanwhile, in his welcoming speech, the Regent ad interim R. Tjahjo Widodo, SH, M.Hum, explained that the implementation of the join-partnership with Polkesma had benefited both institutions in the form of knowledge-sharing such as medical training, workshop and seminar for medical workers. It is thought that human resources and management could be optimized effectively and efficiently as well as positive value for the two institutions.
